Master Jesse Tsao

Master Jesse Tsao was born in the coastal town of Penglai, Shandong province, which is the region where the Eight Immortals achieved longevity.  He began his training at 7 years of age and in 1978 went to Beijing to study at Remin University, winning gold in the Beijing Collegiate Wushu Competition in 1980.  Master Jesse’s daily training, until 1987, was under the guidance of Professor Li. It was during this time that he became familiar with, and studied, Chen Style. He became a formal disciple of Chen Zhenglei to carry forward the original Chen style and he is the 12th generation of direct-line lineage holder of Chen style Tai Chi. Master Jesse now resides in San Diego since establishing his school, Tai Chi Healthways in 1987, runs classes and Summer camps in the San Diego area, as well as travelling the world to present seminars and workshops.  Not only is Master Jesse a highly regarded Master and teacher, he is ensuring the rich heritage of traditional Chinese Wushu through his groundbreaking Ph.D. research at Shanghai Sport University, which is dedicated to the preservation of this ancient martial art, with a specific emphasis on preserving its essence through the meticulous exploration of the following four classic routines:
Chen Old Frame: Originating from Chen Village.
Yang Long Form: Taught by Yang Chengfu and Fu Zhongwen.
Wu Long Form: Rooted in Wang Maozhai's original Northern Wu style.
Sun Long Form: Handed down by Sun Jianyun, the founder's daughter.

Master Jessse is also a Qigong therapist, and alternative medicine and wellness consultant. He is specialized in the areas of self-healing, preventive therapies, stress management and mind-body wellness.
